Mark Finley Preaches Revival and Reformation with Power / Sermon from Master Preacher

"The spirit of revival and reformation will lead every institutional leader and administrative committee to reevaluate the practices of the institution they lead in the light of biblical principles and the counsels of the Spirit of Prophecy". (Mark Finley, Is "Reformation" a Confusing Term, Adventist Review, 19 May 2011, p 6)

BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE

“The seventh-day Sabbath is God’s eternal seal of His creative authority.” (Mark Finley, Revelation’s Seal of God, Adventist World, Dec 2009)

INSTITUTIONAL LEADER

Dr. Anthony R. Kent is in charge of continuing education at the Ministerial Association of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. (Dateline: Leadership changes in the Ministerial Association, Ministry - International Journal for Pastors, Jan 2011)

BRINGING CHANGE TO THE REMNANT

They used to preach Sabbath worship, but decided it was time “to bring fresh perspectives on preaching to pastors of Adventist congregations” (Mark A. Kellner, PREACH Seminar Marks Decade of Service - Ogilvie, Massey, Davidson and Turner Address World via Satellite, Adventist Review, 15 May 2008):

LEADING SUNDAY WORSHIP ADVOCATE

"In heaven all songs will be sung in the major chord, for there will be no more night, death, sickness, or sorrow because God will wipe away all tears from our eyes. Every day will be Sunday, and the Sabbath will have no end." (Robert Smith, James Earl Massey, Doctrine That Dances: Bringing Doctrinal Preaching and Teaching to Life, B&H Publishing Group, 2008, p 167)

RETAINED BY THE GC TO TEACH ADVENTIST PASTORS HOW TO PREACH

Dr. Kent retained Sunday-worship advocate James Earl Massey to teach “a global audience of some 15,000 pastors during an April 22 satellite broadcast sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church's Ministerial Association”. (per Mark A. Kellner, PREACH Seminar Marks Decade of Service - Ogilvie, Massey, Davidson and Turner Address World via Satellite, Adventist Review, 15 May 2008)

AND ALL THE WORLD WONDERED AFTER ROME

"What precisely do we mean by reformation? Are we using it in the context of the sixteenth-century Reformation that eventually led to a split from Roman Catholicism?" (Mark Finley, Is "Reformation" a Confusing Term, Adventist Review, 19 May 2011, p 6)

Hardly. After all, “In the sixteenth century a papal council plainly declared: “Let all Christians remember that the seventh day was consecrated by God, and hath been received and observed, not only by the Jews, but by all others who pretend to worship God; though we Christians have changed their Sabbath into the Lord’s Day.”—Ibid., pages 281, 282.” (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, p 577)

ADVENTIST LEADERSHIP

But aren’t Dr. Kent and Dr. Finley at the General Conference?

"Mr. Martin, the Governor of Pondicherry, who had opportunities of knowing, speaks much of "disguised Jesuits" here, and "masked Jesuits" there, and says, "These Jesuits, disguised and dispersed over the whole earth, and who all know each other by sign like the Freemasons, invariably act upon one system". (Edward Dalton, The Jesuits: their principles and acts, W.H. Dalton, 1843, p 22)

They call it revival and reformation.
