TOUCHDOWN!! Dr. Ekkehardt Mueller of the Adventist Biblical Research Institute put together an unsupported smear piece in the AdventEcho. The article contained obvious untruths, and has been exposed as the work of "the enemy" here.
Supposedly the Adventist Biblical Research Institute (BRI) was loaded up with top scholars. And here Dr. Veith was presenting materials, well supported with verbatim quotes, which disagreed with the BRI teachings. What to do?
PSEUDO-SCIENCE / OUTRIGHT ERRORBRI puts out an E-publication called Reflections 4 times a year. The January 2008 edition contained a very poorly documented smear piece by Johannes Kovar attacking Professor Veith by name. Many, but not all, of the errors in this piece have been exposed here.

WHEN MEN EXALT THEMSELVES AGAINST THE WILL AND WORD OF GOD
And those who "exalt themselves against the will and word of God"? Maybe we have still another fine example?
We do. Out in British Columbia, Canada, Adventist Pastor Kenny Naidoo received some visions. But they were not of the Lord. He put out word that Dr. Veith needed to repent of his teachings -- especially those about Jesuits. Pastor Naidoo also claimed that Dr. Veith had been "sacked". Well, friends, Pastor Ken Naidoo's work was exposed as error here.

REALLY THE ANTICHRIST?
"To counter the stand of the Reformers, the Catholic Church launched the counter-reformation spearheaded by the Jesuit Order. The doctrines of Preterism and Futurism, published by Alcasar and Ribera, two Jesuit priests, in 1585, redefined the reformation position on the Antichrist and shifted the emphasis away from the papacy to the Greek king Antiochus Epiphanes IV". Yes, friends, those reformer types like Dr. Martin Luther had been calling the pope antichrist:

This position of the reformers, shared by founding Adventist prophet Ellen White, presented a problem for the men running theology at the Adventist church. They are active in the ecumenical movement, and its obviously hard to get together with Rome if church membership still has the idea the pope is the antichrist.
They had been doing Ok with their ecumenical efforts, but men like Ken Cox, Dr. Walter Veith (supra), and Dr. Colin Standish (supra) have continued to preach Reformation doctrine.
ELLEN WHITE: ANTICHRIST PRACTICES RAMPANT IN PROTESTANT CHURCHES
The Adventist church has actively been rolling back the reformation -- organs, obelisks, crosses on churches, ecumenism. Those who speak out against this have been persecuted (see above). Such persecution being logical antichrist activity (per White, supra).
